This review was from my previous blog actually...here it is ...
I have been a fan of this swedish progrock band for many years now, and I have been collecting their cds and vinyls too. Was soo damn happy to track down some of their vinyls (hard to get nowadays) in Japan as well as in discogs.. YES, IT IS great news to hear about this new release! They have been dormant for about 8 years and this comeback is FKING AWESOME!In fact, I have bought extra copies to introduce to some friends around here... The music- The band is back to their usual melancholic tune and style and it sounded even better on vinyl. Tracks like Shooting star, get out alive, if it all comes down to you, writing on a wall.. are all instant favorites...with guest musicians (Per for keyboard and Travis's flute) contributing to the atmospheric album. Carefully crafted and there are a lot of intricacies that are inside the songs...Listening once is not enough...
This album is not overwhelming, but IT IS an album that takes me away for a memorable ride to a different time and place. And it makes me want to go back again and again...
Trust me, playing it once through is not enough. IT WILL make you spin that vinyl again...and again...
